Avtaar Singh on Tree


Zeerakpur:- Former Director of Crafts Development Department of Agriculture, Avtar Singh climbed on tree and took death vow. He wants to convince his demands from Government. Until Chef Minister will not come here to fulfill my demands, I will not come down, "said Avtar Singh".

The police, Administration and local people's efforts have failed to bring him down. He climbed on tree at Friday morning at 5am and call the media and his friends by his mobile phone. He is near-about 30 feet up and he also take a small bed along with him. He also have some water and Roasted gram along with him. He tied bed and himself with ropes. He also carried some packets and bottles for Toilet etc. According to Avtar Singh, he will come down, if C.M Parkash Singh Badal will say to him. Otherwise only his dead body will come down.

Actually he blamed that Punjab government has acquired his village land for a paper mill two years ago. But after that, Mill owners also sold that land to an another company. He also blamed that some peoples are also trying to Possession on his Native Land. Besides Punjab government has often made him victims of force.

He Pleaded many time to Sangat Darshan, Suvidha Camp and to Administrative Officers, But he did not get justice. He get frustrated and climbed on tree and took that death vow.
